Background

The OGP is a multilateral initiative that aims to secure concrete commitments from governments to promote transparency, empower citizens, fight corruption, and harness new technologies to strengthen governance. To become part of OGP, participating governments must sign a high-level Open Government Declaration, deliver an action plan developed with public participation, and commit to independent reporting on their progress through the OGP Independent Reporting Mechanism (IRM).
The Independent Reporting Mechanism (IRM) is a key means by which all stakeholders can track progress within OGP participating members. By tracking and publicizing progress, it promotes strong accountability and dialogue between member governments and citizens.
The IRM works primarily by disseminating reports for each OGP action plan. Each report assesses the implementation and ambition of action plans, progress in fulfilling open government principles, and provides technical recommendations to improve future action plans.

Senior Director, International Finance (SrDIF)

The Senior Director of International Finance (SrDIF) is responsible for the overall financial management and compliance of Corus International’s international operation’s activities. Responsibilities include the management of international accounting operations, international treasury services, management, and donor reporting, budget processes, financial analysis and forecasting, direct support for the New Business Development unit, and the development and oversight of compliance and financial management systems, procedures, and internal controls required for international operations. The position also ensures compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), applicable regulatory requirements, specific donor requirements, and internal policies and procedures. The SrDIF is responsible for ensuring the integrity of Corus’ overall and individual (e.g., LWR, IMA, IMAi, etc.) general ledgers related to international activities.

As a key leader within the organization, the SrDIF provides innovative solutions for Corus’ emerging financial management needs, as well as timely strategic decision support for the Leadership Team, Board of Directors, International Program Department, and other stakeholders. The position provides staff support as required to the Audit and Risk and Finance Committees of the Board. The SrDIF directly supervises 3 staff with a combined team of 14 at HQ and has dotted line responsibilities for regional and country finance staff in over 17 countries globally.

SENIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

The Competitive Bids Unit Senior Business Development Specialist plays a key role in managing USG and World Bank proposal development, building CARE staff capacity in business development, and supporting overall funding portfolio growth for their assigned portfolio. This role includes leading capture and managing proposal development efforts; gathering intel and networking; coordinating CBU’s support to CARE Country Offices responding to bids; liaising with partners/potential partners and assisting with negotiations for scopes of work; conceptualizing CARE’s role in potential projects; reviewing draft proposals; and coordinating final submission.

Supply Chain Innovation Associate

The Supply Chain Program Associate is responsible for supporting the ongoing improvement and implementation of the new Agricultural Recognition Program and other Supply Chain Innovation projects.
