The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will contribute to Medical Teams’ calling, set financial strategy, policy, and direction, and is responsible for all financial matters.
The CFO will provide executive leadership of the key strategic functions of finance (including accounting, treasury, financial planning, and analysis), financial grant management and contracts, compliance and audit, risk management (including insurance, enterprise risk management, operational risks), legal, and strategic planning (including planning and budgeting).
The CFO will work closely with the CEO, Board, Executive Team, and Senior Leadership Team to provide financial management information, reporting, and metrics, and develop and implement risk-managed growth strategies across the organization.
The CFO will apply a financial lens to continuously improve the strategic and operational effectiveness, efficiency, and agility of the organization, to increase the deployment and scaling health services to the world’s most vulnerable people.
The CFO will manage key financial and risk functions to ensure all resources provided to Medical Teams are expended with excellent stewardship, the highest standards of financial management and accountability, and are used to advance the mission of the organization. The CFO will protect donor funds through the highest fiduciary standards to optimize community impact.
As a critical member of the Executive Team, the CFO will build the organizational culture in alignment with Medical Teams’ calling and values.
This position reports to the President & CEO. The CFO manages a team of 11, including the International Director of Finance, Financial Analysis Planning Manager, Controller, and Director of Compliance.
