Job Summary:
Pricing and Analytics Specialist is a member of the Program Finance team. The Pricing & Analytics Specialist position reviews Requests for Proposals (RFP) and Notices of Funding Opportunities (NOFO) and prepares cost proposals (budgets and budget narratives) for a diverse set of donors, including U.S. Government, Foreign Governments, International Entities, Foundations, Corporations, and individual donors. The position develops and maintains knowledge about IIE’s costs and pricing models. S/he informs strategic decisions around program design for new business and makes recommendations on pricing and cost recovery strategies. The Specialist role supports the Costing and Pricing team by analyzing cost data and projections to support IIE’s cost recovery and pricing models. The Specialist is responsible for contributing to the development of proposal documents and creating dynamic and professional visual representations.
Essential Functions
• Works with the Proposal Development team, and the relevant Program team members to translate RFPs, NOFOs, and design project and cost proposals (budgets and budget narratives).
• Analyzes costs/drivers of cost to inform pricing and contribute to the development of rate guidelines. Benchmarks costs against external cost and price data to inform IIE’s strategy and decision-making around cost structure and pricing.
• Advises and informs IIE team members on cost trends and pricing processes in order to maximize cost recovery and profitability to maintain and expand IIE’s mission.
• Researches and documents knowledge regarding regulations and pricing methodologies. Conducts benchmarking analyses using external data sources to inform IIE’s pricing practices.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
• Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least five years of related work experience, or combination education and experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to think strategically across programs and functions, identifying opportunities for efficiencies, cost reduction, and cost recovery
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to explain financial concepts
• Proven ability to problem-solve and use discretion with sensitive information.
• Ability to develop and manage knowledge around costs for IIE services, price competitiveness, competitor models, and pricing strategies and maintain documentation of cost estimates.
• Ability to create pricing models and templates for cost proposals.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Proficient in other MS Office programs.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft, or other ERP systems, a plus.
• Programmatic or Business Development experience, a plus
• Working knowledge of Uniform Guidance and GAAP preferred
• Experience in grants management with USG, private sector and/or foreign governments preferred
Salary and Benefits:
Salary Range: $67,097 – $85,801. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, abilities, internal organizational equity, and geographic region.
