POSITION SUMMARY
The Fair Labor Association seeks a Project Manager for the Harvesting the Future of Rose in Türkiye project for 24 months. This position will work in the FLA’s Agriculture and Supply Chain Innovation department, closely with the Senior Director, and directly report to the Program Director based in Istanbul, Türkiye. This is a supervisory position based in Istanbul or Isparta, Türkiye
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Project Implementation Duties

Lead the project planning, execution, and monitoring of all project activities

Prepare detailed Request for Proposals and Terms of Reference for implementing partners, per the project workplan
-
Ensure clarity about roles and responsibilities among project partners and involve them in planning. Inform partners and stakeholders of implementation plan

Update and implement the monitoring and evaluation plan
-
Develop narrative progress reports
-
Prepare briefs, updates, reports, best practices, success stories, and lessons learned for the project
-
Undertaking coordination of partner and stakeholder meetings
Rose Coalition Governance and Coordination Duties
-
Manage Rose Coalition Steering Committee, Advisory Committee, and various caucuses, preparing for the meeting and finalizing meeting minutes on an ongoing basis

Organize General Assembly meetings in Türkiye with all project partners in 2023
-
Prepare and circulate agenda and update project materials and documents based on the decisions of the coalition
Administrative and Finance-Related Duties
-
Review the project requirements—including progress, financial reporting, and communication plan—and adhere to the requirements
-
Plan and forecast expenditure and project activities to ensure compliance with the project contract and budget to prevent overspending or underspending
-
Provide timely and accurate financial data to the FLA Finance team for planning, reporting, and auditing
-
Provide regular updates to the General Assembly on project administration and finances
Technical Duties

Contribute to developing tools and adapting existing tools and training materials
-
Lead field-level assessments, observations, and desktop verification of practices by reviewing and analyzing project partner suppliers’ documentation, assessment reports, and other research

Facilitate supply chain mapping and visit the various tiers of the supply chain for assessments
-
Develop written reports regarding the evaluation of the suppliers’ practices and findings
-
Help develop and follow up on individual suppliers’ action plans
-
Deliver trainings and shadow field visits related to the project as required

Other duties and tasks as assigned
Communication-Related Tasks

Represent FLA at conferences, meetings, and other events as required

Supporting external communications

Provide translation support where needed
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
-
Advanced degree and/or training in a relevant field such as business management, international development, political and social science, sociology, social work, or human rights
-
At least 5-6 years of experience in managing multi-stakeholder projects on children’s rights, human rights due diligence, responsible sourcing, living wage/living income, and occupational health and safety

Background in project monitoring and evaluation
-
Strong computer literacy, including MS Office Suite; experience with iOS preferred.

Exceptional writing skills, including authoring reports
-
Ability to analyze large amounts of information and data comfortably and accurately
-
Strong commitment to the FLA mission on protecting workers’ rights
-
Advanced oral and written communication skills; proven ability to deal with confidential and sensitive matters

Excellent organizational, program management, and time management skills, and keen attention to detail

Proficiency in English and Turkish
