• Coordinates HPTN-related strategic communications with network leadership, including preparation of briefings/reports and the conduct of regular meetings and calls discussing network research agendas and activities and represents the HPTN network at network and protocol team meetings, study site visits, regulatory meetings, and scientific and professional conferences 
  • Supports the development, implementation and oversight of ICAP collaborating HPTN clinical research sites
  • Conducts HPTN -related literature reviews and examination of scientific questions, coordinates submission of peer-reviewed publications and development of abstracts and presentations for scientific conferences and symposia 
  •  Supports the Director in the conduct of literature reviews, development of presentations, submission of manuscripts, writing of technical briefs, and situation reports on as needed public health topics 
  • Leads and manages the development of new initiatives, technical design and technical grant proposals within ICAP focused on projects related to HIV prevention, the intersection of HIV with other conditions, implementation science and research 
  • Develops technical content and strategy and provides operational support to ICAP-sponsored public health symposia and technical meetings both domestically and internationally, designed to attract distinguished experts, to promote learning and lead global discourse on important public health topics 
  • Perform other duties, as assigned 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience and four years of related experience
  • Knowledge and practical experience in HIV, HIV prevention programming and research, including design of studies, research protocols and monitoring/oversight.
  •  Knowledge and practical experience in management of public health systems and networks.
  •  Excellent writing and editing skills.
  •  Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
  •  Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  •  Experience with Microsoft Office suite applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in public health or related field
  • 5 + years of experience of HIV prevention research experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in support of research sites or other research entities.
  • Experience working on technical presentations, manuscript development (journal articles, book chapters, etc.) as well as proposal writing and management
  • Experience working in both domestic and international settings.
  • Experience managing and coordinating research, technical assistance and service projects

Travel Requirements

  • Ability to travel (domestically and internationally), as needed.
