Technical Director, Maternal and Neonatal Health (MNH)

LWR & IMA is seeking highly motivated individuals for a Maternal and Neonatal Health (MNH) Lead position for the USAID MOMENTUM (Moving Integrated, Quality Maternal and Newborn Health and Family Planning and Reproductive Health) APS Round 1 “MNCH/FP/RH Service Delivery in Fragile Settings.” The $200 million projects seek to support countries early in their journey to self-reliance to overcome the impacts of fragility on the population’s health and contribute to countries’ movement along the development continuum toward reduced maternal mortality and increased self-reliance.

The MNH Lead will provide technical leadership and oversight for the upcoming global USAID MOMENTUM Round 1. The MNH Lead will lend technical expertise in MNH with an emphasis on issues for fragile health systems and access.

The position will operate under the leadership of the Senior Technical Director for MNH/FP/RH and will help ensure the technical and methodological soundness of all MNH project activities. In collaboration with the project team and partners, the position will support the design and implementation of service delivery strategies based on scientific evidence.

This position is contingent upon award from USAID and will be based in DC.

Technical Director, Social Behavior Change (SBC) and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)

The incumbent will work under the direction of the Director for Government Relations to educate and inform the Congress about the work of the NED.

Director for Latin America and the Caribbean

This senior position is responsible for providing strategic leadership and vision for all Freedom House (FH) activities in and related to Latin America, primarily on-the-ground donor-funded programming activities, but also policy research and advocacy, in line with FH’s mission and strategic framework. The position requires a candidate with deep knowledge of democracy and governance issues throughout the region, relationships there (including with civil society organizations (CSOs), government entities, the diplomatic community, etc.), and relationships with relevant USG entities (including USG donors supporting democracy programs in the region). These qualifications must be combined with a proven record of: designing and implementing innovative USG-funded democracy programming throughout the region that produces verifiable results; designing and carrying out successful policy research and policy advocacy initiatives before the U.S. Congress and executive branch; and effectively leading and managing diverse staff, including overseas operations.

Finance Officer, Civil Society Innovation Initiative

The Finance Officer supports effective project implementation across Tides’ four key areas of responsibility: Grant Making, Grant Monitoring & Reporting, Capacity Building, and Stakeholder Engagement. Reporting to the Senior Finance Officer, the Finance Officer will help review budgets and financial reports, prepare payments and cash advance requests, and reconcile expenses. The position will strengthen management of the project’s growing grants portfolio.

Senior Manager for Global Security

The Senior Manager for Global Security is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of project staff engaged by IMA World Health and consortium members under a potential USG-funded global health opportunity. The position will report to the Deputy Project Director of the award and will coordinate closely with Corus’ Senior Director for Global Security, with partner agencies’ security directors, and with country security staff in countries where the project will operate, to assess and mitigate risks to staff and assets, to ensure that project staff is trained and follow agency security procedures, and to track and respond to security incidents affecting project staff or assets as they arise, in alignment with donor and agency requirements. The position requires excellent communication ability and coordination skills across multiple stakeholders and at least 7 years’ prior work in international and non-profit security settings. Fluency in French, Arabic, Portuguese, Spanish or other languages would be an asset although it is not a requirement.

Note: This position is dependent on donor funding that has not been awarded yet.
