Position Summary:

The Managing Grants Officers are the first-level supervisors of the department.  They supervise and mentor Grants Officers and Senior Grants Officers in addition to providing hands-on cradle-to-grave management of discretionary grant portfolios, including those in high risk and/or complex environments.  They are distinguished from Senior Grants Officers by the extent of their demonstrated professional judgment and high knowledge level, proficiency with grants management concepts, supervisory responsibilities, and emerging leadership skills.  Managing Grants Officers work closely with their peer colleagues in Regional Program and Compliance to provide effective and collaborative due diligence and oversight of grant programs, as well as taking on additional responsibilities and special tasks as assigned to provide a supporting role to their Principals.

Senior Manager, Monitoring and Evaluation

The Senior Manager, Monitoring Evaluation leads the design, development and implementation of a comprehensive Monitoring and Evaluation framework for the organization’s programs and in the development and design of War Child Canada’s monitoring and impact evaluation systems for all field programs. This position is responsible for building and implementing appropriate capacity building strategies providing mentoring, coaching and training to staff as required, including field-based Monitoring and Evaluation focal points. Senior Advisor, Global Health Security Agenda

World Vision US seeks the Senior Advisor, Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) who will work closely with the Core Group Polio Project (CGPP) Director, Deputy Director and Secretariats to strengthen the GHSA program. The position will be based in Washington, DC. She/he will be responsible for:
Technical Guidance
• Supporting alert investigation and response planning at district level.
• Conducting GHSA trainings and workshops for CGPP staff, local NGOs, and other community-based stakeholders (e.g. epidemic control, community engagement, social mobilization, community-based surveillance and reporting).
• Providing support and analysis, as needed, for after-action reviews of outbreaks to capture lessons learned and update preparedness plans accordingly.

The Program Finance Manager is responsible for the overall financial management of a project portfolio which may be composed of single-country and/or multi-country projects, funded by USAID and/or other multi-lateral or privately funded initiatives With support from the Director, S/he will manage a collaborative effort with country office, and global management colleagues to oversee financial policies and procedures supporting Helen Keller’s administration and management of assigned agreements and sub-agreements; and the implementation of financial oversight mechanisms to ensure financial integrity and compliance with donor and Helen Keller policies across programs. The position ensures consolidation of annual project budgets and/or subaward budgets and Fixed Amount Awards (FAAs), financial reports, strong tracking of program expenditures, and continual analysis of cash flow.
Working closely with program teams, the position’s main responsibilities include:
• reviewing and preparing life-of-project budgets, annual workplan budgets, Fixed Amount Awards (FAAs) and/or subaward budgets ;
• preparation of budget narratives, invoices and other financial reports to donors;
• thorough tracking and analysis of project expenditures; management of cash-flow;
• ensuring compliance with Helen Keller and donor policies; alerting the program team of any project financial risk;
• and providing staff training in close coordination with Helen Keller’s Grants & Contracts unit.

Controller

KIND seeks a Controller who will oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations while maintaining the accounting records and internal controls in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. S/he will direct all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/ receivable, procurement, payroll, balance sheet reconciliations, audit, insurance and tax reports. The Controller ensures accurate and timely preparation of internal financial reports and submission of external reporting. The Controller will collaborate with the Finance and Operations team to create and improve systems, processes, and policies in support of KIND’s mission and vision.
