Associate Director, Financial Systems

HIAS seeks an Associate Director, Financial Systems to enhance operational efficiency in the primary financial operations, including identifying, implementing and managing financial systems. These systems include accounting software, budget and budgetary control systems, project time management and updating the Chart of Accounts. S/he researches financial record keeping and reporting requirements and ensures that systems are modified to meet these requirements of donors. Additionally, s/he establishes best practices for financial systems use and ensures that these practices are used throughout the organization.

Compensation Analyst

HIAS seeks a Compensation Analyst to continually assess our total compensation packages by conducting a comparative analysis by region and industry while taking into account the organization’s financial performance. The analyst will build relationships with Regional Directors across the globe in providing guidance backed up with sound and robust analysis and market insight. Furthermore, s/he will recommend compensation package for employees, and the increases thereafter, by developing a compensation program, which includes tracking and reporting, job evaluation, and salary administration for HIAS’ incentive programs. An effective candidate will be meticulous, have outstanding business acumen, and have sound understanding of compensation analysis.

Safety and Security Specialist

HIAS seeks a Safety and Security Specialist to support the Safety and Security department in developing and maintaining safety and security programs, plans, policies and procedures within HIAS’ global and domestic offices. The preferred candidate is passionate about HIAS’s mission and has a demonstrated interest in international development and professional/academic experience in international relations, international security, humanitarian contexts or similar. Project Manager, Data Systems

HIAS seeks a Project Manager (PM) to manage the planning, development, rollout, and testing of HIAS’ data management system. The PM defines the overall project work plan and success metrics for delivery of the pilot, ensures all stakeholders are aligned and committed to supporting the delivery approach, and ensures that the project delivery is aligned to organizational strategy and business objectives. The PM will be responsible for project outcomes, stakeholder management, design of new core framework, service-level agreements, and all project deliverables. In addition, the PM will provide business process guidance as required for the successful implementation and adoption of the project. The PM will coordinate across senior stakeholders across multiple divisions and functions to deliver a project that enables functional business process change across the organization.

Director, Emergency Response

Building on its long history of resettlement, protection, and advocacy support for refugees, HIAS seeks a Director, Emergency Response to build its capacity to engage in emergency responses globally and within the US. HIAS’ emergency response efforts will focus on displacement crises, providing critical assistance to vulnerable refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs), primarily in HIAS’ four Signature Approaches: gender-based violence, community-based mental health and psycho-social support, economic inclusion, and/or legal protection. This position will be responsible for designing and delivering results aimed at ensuring that HIAS becomes a recognized and established actor in the humanitarian sector. S/he will drive forward HIAS’ five-year Emergency Response Strategy and operational plan, monitoring that all benchmarks are achieved as planned. This will entail a comprehensive process of strengthening HIAS’ operational agility, identifying skilled staffing and surge support, reviewing organizational policies and procedures, developing tools for humanitarian programming, and raising HIAS’ profile and fundraising ability for emergencies, among other things. Alongside overseeing the organizational strategy implementation, s/he will also provide leadership and coordination for any new emergency responses undertaken and will support HIAS’ existing humanitarian programs. While reporting to the SVP Programs, this position will act as a critical liaison between all departments (Programs, Executive Office, Operations, and Public Affairs) as well as between country and response teams and headquarters, on all matters relating to emergency response at HIAS.
