Supervising Attorney

HIAS seeks a Supervising Attorney to provide direct representation of mostly non-detained applicants for immigration benefits, primarily asylum, Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJ), T visas and U visas before the Immigration Court (EOIR), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), and the New York family courts. S/he supervises HIAS’ attorneys and law intern staff in New York City, providing mentorship, case review, and opportunities for growth and development in the field. Supervising Attorney also manages day to day operations of HIAS legal staff in NYC, in coordination with Director, HIAS New York and HIAS’ Legal Director (in Silver Spring).

Program Assistant

The Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity (SOGI) Program at Wellspring Philanthropic Fund is seeking a Program Assistant, who will report to the Program Director and provide administrative and programmatic support to the team. The mission of the SOGI program is to improve the lives of LGBT people and to end discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity and expression. It does this through grantmaking in support of LGBTQ movements both domestically and internationally. Our grantmaking focuses on supporting the vibrancy of movements and centering the leadership of youth, trans and gender nonconforming people, and people of color.

The SOGI Team is currently five people of diverse professional and personal backgrounds who are committed to doing the best grantmaking possible in support of LGBT activism both domestically and around the world. Regional Program Manager I, Latin America

The Regional Program Manager I is a member of the Latin America headquarters team at Lutheran World Relief and is based in Baltimore, MD. S/he works under the supervision of the Deputy Regional Director for Operations to provide oversight and management for a diverse portfolio of donor and internally funded projects across seven countries for projects up to the $1 million life of project threshold as well as providing general administrative support to the Latin America team.
Program management tasks include assisting with new project design, participating in proposal processes, reviewing awards, obtaining internal signoffs, coordinating project startup, monitoring project implementation, ensuring accurate M&E and beneficiary reporting, and ensuring on time and accurate reporting to internal stakeholders and external donors, including developing project summary documents for the board of directors and external stakeholders.

Regional administrative support includes serving as HQ point of contact for regional staff regarding travel to the USA, for support with legal procedures such as office registrations and powers of attorney, and training and support with project database and other internal systems.

S/he also coordinates with LWR’s business development, fundraising, communications, and constituent engagement teams to communicate LWRs signature approaches, project successes and lessons learned, as well as to highlight new funding opportunities for interested donors.

Monitoring and Evaluation and Learning Director


Jhpiego seeks a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Director to provide technical leadership, oversight and strategic direction for monitoring and evaluation (MEL) activities for an upcoming USAID urban health project in Afghanistan. The $100-300 million project aims to improve health outcomes in 5 urban centers in Afghanistan with a focus on reproductive health (RH), family planning (FP), maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH), immunization, nutrition, and tuberculosis. The project will operate over a 5-year period.

The MEL Director will provide technical leadership in development of project results frameworks, M&E systems and indicators to capture performance results and provide effective, accurate and timely monitoring, evaluation and reporting of all project activities. The MEL Director will supervise and manage the MEL team and oversee the collection, management, analysis and use of project data; ensuring that lessons learned are integrated into project implementation to continuously improve quality of interventions and outcomes. The MEL Director will also be responsible for designing and conducting assessments, operations research and evaluations to address project needs. The MEL Director is responsible for documenting and disseminating project successes, challenges and lessons learned to USAID. The MEL Director will liaise with and support consortium partners and the Ministry of Public Health to implement monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities.

Liaises with country teams, finance team, and project partners to develop high-quality, competitive cost proposals, including, but not limited to, budget, budget narrative, supporting documentation, strategy for indirect rate coverage. Works closely with technical proposal team to ensure alignment between cost and technical proposals.
